Wedding bells

Alright! It's about time I posted some pictures. I'm so grateful but also embarrassed that others in the family have posted pictures and news about the engagement before I did. But that's what family is for, right? So thanks to Staci and also the Heinzen/Danielson side for posting pictures and news about the engagement. It's awesome to have so much support and love.

I think most of you know how it all went down. I sent Mica on a scavenger hunt (with some help from Lindsay and others) which eventually led her to a trailhead called the Y where I was waiting. Words were exchanged. Hearts were touched. And a ring was given. (I think that President Monson would be proud of my little prose there). It was a perfect moment for Christmas Eve. I feel like I've been given the best gift this past year. Mica has made me so happy ever since I met her. I don't ever want to be without her. So hopefully that ring convinces her so stay!

Thanks for all your congratulations and support. Stay tuned for announcement details. Although it may be awhile. Happy new year!

Cool, I'm the first one to comment! (hehe) Matt, you are MARVELOUS! This is such a sweet little post, Matt-style. I am SO excited for the wedding!!! AND even MORE excited that I get to have you guys close for another year before you take my one and only sister far away from me. :) Before you know it, you will feel like you never had life without both the Martin AND Heinzen families. ;) Seriously though, I can't imagine Enos without Lindsay, and I'm looking forward to getting to know you better so I will soon have a hard time imagining Mica without Matt. :) You rock bro! btw-I think you left some jeans and a hat at my house hanging on the stairs, maybe from when you guys went sledding?

Yeah, the word spread like wildfire! My mom sent a mass email to the Rawlins family as soon as your mom spilled the beans. Funny though, I caught the story on how it happened from Ira when I saw him at work yesterday. Anyway, we are very excited for you and Mica! Can't wait to see you two get your offical 'happily ever after' you've been waiting for. Congratulations again!

Thanks for the comments, guys! Yeah, Tara, I think I did leave my hat and pants at your house. And I mean that in the most moral way! Staci, yeah, we've been blessed with some colorful eyes. Although, what do you get when you cross blue with brown?

This is my official prediction..... you will get a blue-eyed blonde, blue-eyed semi-brunette, brown-eyed blonde (like I have), and if you have any red-heads in your line, you might get a red-head, (Josh was born with flaming red hair, but lost it all) So we will try to plan a dinner one of these Sundays and you can get your pants. :)

I'm not sure on that one Matt maybe green..b/c green eyes are the best! If anything I do know your kids will have big beautiful eyes and big lush lips!

YOu are so right Staci. Holy LIPS, sheesh, the lips those kids are going to have, seriously. another BTW - I just put a mass series of posts of Jade's recent art, so Matt, you need to see what your neice is up to, and make some comments! Not that you need to win her heart or anything, she absolutly loves you. The kids are looking forward to "uncle Matt" coming to visit soon. :)

OH MY WORD!!!!
One step at a time! Seriously, the Lord has blessed me with two fantastic and loving daughters-in-law. What a blessing! Let me warn you, they will be the cutest, most wonderful kids in the world, but with Matt's energy, all I gotta say is, watch out!!!
Can't wait!

And i have to make the comment that Mica looks SO genuinely happy in that first picture... I'm glad for her. She needed someone like you. You are the world to her, i know it.
