The Honeymoon

Well ... here we are. Finally, after three weeks, we're posting some pictures of our honeymoon. For some reason, we've been so busy lately! First of all, the honeymoon was magical! All the expenses were covered by Mica's aunts and uncles, Jody, Ric, Alan, and Janice. They were so sweet to provide this for us. To thank them, we've decided to name the first child after them. The name will be a combination of all of their names: Jorialice. I hope it's a girl. (Just kidding)

The Lockehouse Bed & Breakfast is beautifully placed 20 minutes north east of Stockton in a small, rural town that is known for really nothing. It's owned by a cute, retired couple who renovated the home into a B & B several years ago.

Here's the water tower suite where we stayed. It used to be just a place for animals and hay. Wow, they sure turned it around! It was especially nice to have a place all to ourselves.

The master bedroom/living room. Nice hardwood floors and a soft bed with a canopy made for a romantic first floor. You can see the stairs that lead to the left and to the "second floor". The brochure says that there are three floors but really the second floor is just a few steps into the bathroom.

Here I'm hanging out near the "second floor". You can see the staircase that goes up to the third floor which is a little hideaway with a bed and windows. Really cute but we didn't spend too much time up there.

Mica caught me showering one morning with my sunglasses on. That girl! I've lost all my privacy since getting married. Just kidding. This was our antiquish bathroom with an old fashioned bath tub and sink. We loved it.
Here we are having our morning joe. The breakfasts here were amazing! The hostess was an absolute master at creating the most scrumptious meals for us. We're so sad that we don't have any pictures of those meals. They were seriously like works of art. After breakfast we would usually go touring around the rest of the house or walk outside. The rest of the house seriously reminded me of Hanover, PA where Grandpa and Grandma live. They would love this house because it used to be owned by a doctor back around the 1860s. Most of his surgical and medical tools are on display inside. It's a little creepy now that I think about it. They also had like 3 pianos including an organ-piano which I've never heard of. Apparently it was made especially for the house. Anyways ...

Here is the front part of the home. Such a beautiful spot during a gorgeous part of the year. The weather was perfect. We loved every moment we spent there. We actually hope to go back during one of our anniversaries. Maybe our six month one! Here are some extra pictures that I don't want to explain but thought you would enjoy. Here you go!

Thanks so much for sharing, Matt and Mica. The descriptions were obviously written by Matt. You dawg! What a wonderful beginning to a great future! We love you both and can't wait to see you in a few days. Our time together will be short. I am trying to get everything done before you come so we can do some side things and not just reception work. Love you, mom
